MANUAL CROWN RAIL &
PANEL JIGS & PATTERNS
:

CROWN DOOR JIGS ARE FASTER Just imagine, with these SELF-CENTERING JIGS you will not have to divide 17-7/16" by 2 or 11-15/16" by 2 or 9-5/16" by 2, and so on. These jigs will also cut in half the number of times your employees will have to use their ruler - saving you untold hours of time spent measuring and doing arithmetic. Now you and your employees can spend more time actually producing crown raised panel doors.

CROWN DOOR JIGS ARE SAFER For a much safer operation, use the crown door jigs. Both jigs keep your hands securely in place on the handle knobs. This grip gives you more control of the operation as you trim the panel.

CROWN DOOR JIGS ARE MORE ACCURATE The 10 Crown Panel and 10 Crown Rail hardwood patterns for doors 9-1/2” to 22" enables you to give the custom look, and you will know that the panel and crown rail will fit properly, You can make doors to match in proportion for the different door sizes. Plus, the accurate centering devices and interchangeable patterns make it easy to change the sizes and styles of the panel and rail. The Crown Rail Jig keeps the pattern between your hands and the cutter.

SHAPING CROWN PANEL

1. Pre-cut panel material to desired size before shaping the crown panel.

2. Use jig #JM310 to center panel to pattern, then trace pattern detail on panel. Place crown panel pattern in notch on bottom and crown panel material on the top. After tracing remove panel from jig and band saw panel approximately 1/4” larger than pattern detail.

3. Set up shaper with dead collar or ball bearing rub collar, square edge cutter and a warning disc.

4. Place the appropriate panel pattern in jig #JM310 - and the panel on top. The panel is centered by pulling the left or right handle in while holding the top edge of the panel and pattern flush. Push down both left and right cam levers to clamp panel to pattern and jig.

5. Start on the left front of pattern and run pattern against rub collar or use pattern to stop the bearing before shaping. The square edge cutter shapes the panel to pattern.
SHAPING CROWN RAIL

1. Tenoning the ends of the top crown rail before shaping the crown rail will reduce end grain chip-out.

2. Use jig #JM330 to center rail to pattern, then trace pattern shape on rail. Place crown rail material on the bottom and crown rail pattern in notch on top. After tracing remove rail from jig and band saw rail approximately.

3. Set shaper up with sticking (female) part of the door cutter set, ball bearing rub collar and warning disc.
1/8" larger than pattern detail.

4. Place top rail in jig #JM330 and the appropriate rail pattern in jig. By turning center knob, jig will self center top rail to the pattern. Tighten center lock nut and toggle clamps.

5. Use the left front corner of the pattern to stop the bearing before shaping. The cutters will size top rail to pattern and detail the edge of the rail.
